Burn tower training at SWIC Fire Science Facility, March 2008

The Clin-Clair Fire Department has established an agreement with SWIC Fire Science program in which we are able train at their facility every Saturday in March. Fire suppression, ventilation, forcible entry, search and rescue, mutual aid techniques were practiced. Germantown, Aviston, and New Baden Fire Departments will also be participating. |

Vehicle Fire Training, 2007
On July 16, 2007 Clin-Clair Fire Department members held a live burning drill to practice vehicle fire suppression techniques. Due to 95+ degree weather and the intense heat from the fire, each department member rotated in practicing the proper techniques for successful vehicle fire suppression. Overall, the car was lit on fire 4 times throughout the evening. In addition to the live burn, the department members also trained on CPR and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) procedures.

Hazmat Awareness Training, 2007
Clin-Clair Fire Department along with Germantown Fire Department participated in their annual HazMat Operations training in Nov 2007. St. Clair Special Emergency Services provided the training at the Albers engine house. The above pictures show members of both departments practicing decontamination (Decon) setup and procedures.
